NEW Sara Shepard Series!

So in my review for Toxic I mentioned discovering an advertisement for a brand new Sara Shepard series. It’s called The Perfectionists and takes place in Washington, following five teenage girls.

Publication Date: October 7th, 2014

Synopsis: In Beacon Heights, Washington, five girls—Ava, Caitlin, Mackenzie, Julie, and Parker—know that you don’t have to be good to be perfect. At first the girls think they have nothing in common, until they realize that they all hate Nolan Hotchkiss, who’s done terrible things to each of them. They come up with the perfect way to kill him—a hypothetical murder, of course. It’s just a joke…until Nolan turns up dead, in exactly the way they planned. Only, they didn’t do it. And unless they find the real killer, their perfect lives will come crashing down around them. (from GoodReads)

My Thoughts: Considering this novel is filed under the genres “mystery”, “drama”, and “suspense”, it sounds somewhat to me like Shepard’s most popular series, Pretty Little Liars. Will I read it? Of course. The synopsis sounds intriguing. How was Nolan killed in exactly the way they joked about? I heard this is supposed to be a series of only two books, but considering how Pretty Little Liars turned out, I have a feeling it may turn in to much more.

What do you think about Shepard’s new series?

  1. At first I was like, oh this sounds exactly like John Tucker Must Die…and then I got halfway through and I was like ‘ooop, okay, never mind, okay.’ Of course, knowing Sara Shepard I wasn’t sure what I was thinking in the first place. Anyways, I’m excited for the books to come out. I really do hope it’s only a two book deal, because I love Pretty Little Liars, but I just had to give it up eventually, it went on forever.
